Water – There’s Not an Unlimited Supply

“Although New Hampshire is considered ‘water rich,’ water is not unlimited.”   “The Source” is a newletter put out by the NH Department of Environmental Services Drinking Water Source Protection Program.  This helpful publication informs us of ways to protect our water supply, how NH is disposing of wastewater, and other important issues regarding clean water.  Click here and read what you can do to protect our most valuable resource.

Conserving Our New Hampshire Land

Much of the beauty of NH is our scenic landscape.  We strive to protect our beautiful land and forests so that others can enjoy it.  Many do this by donating conservation easements to the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust.  Recently, two neighbors did just that – they donated almost 500 acres in Bradford.  To learn more, click here.

Do You Have a Green Thumb?

This Spring has brought many showers and now that the sun has come out, we’re seeing the beautiful gardens beginning to bloom.  Just take a ride down Main Street in New London to enjoy the colorful petals and sweet aromas.  The roadside garden at Spring Ledge Farm is amazing and ever-changing throughout the summer and fall.

Another place to enjoy the many beautifull area gardens is at The Fells on Route 103A in Newbury, NH.  Currently they have a rock garden exhibit – Inspiration from The Fells: Rock Garden Plants by the New England Society of Botanical Artists – which will be displayed through July 17th.  Another exhibit at The Fells is Art in Nature – sculpture by the New England Sculptors Association installed on the grounds and in the gardens through October 10th.  Admission for members is free; non-members pay site admission.

If you don’t have a green thumb and need some help planning your garden, give us a call and we can refer you to local landscapers – 603-526-4116.
